                                                General Meeting

                                                 Open House-  Sept  9th, 2008

 

 

 

 

Ms. Johnson welcomed everyone to Open House, she was very happy with the large

 

turnout. She commented that the year has started off very smoothly, and looks forward

 

to a very productive year.  She also mentioned the new pilot lunch program, the program

 

will allow students to eat all together all around the designated areas of the school.  This

 

will also give students who need extra help time to meet with their teachers, or study in

 

the computer lab. She thanked everyone for coming and introduced Melody Pfeifer the

 

PTSA out going President.

 

 

Melody thanked everyone and introduced the new President Sheryl Sweeney.

 

 

Sheryl, thanked everyone for coming and taking a interest in the PTSA, she stressed how

 

important the PTSA is, and mentioned it is one of the largest organizations in the country.

 

She mentioned that she is looking forward to a new and exciting year as newly- elected

 

President.  She also mentioned the mission statement of the PTSA, and challenged

 

everyone to join.  She mentioned the Powder Puff game and the scholarship program.

 

She also encouraged everyone to sign up to receive their newsletter by email. She

 

she thanked everyone for attending and introduced the PTSA Treasurer Terese Wells.

 

Terese Wells presented the budget  for 2008-2009.  A motion was made by Dan Kletter

 

seconded by Dan Wells to accept the budget as presented, motion carried..

 

 

Athletic Boosters Rep- Marybeth Williams, thanked everyone for attending and asked anyone interested to

 

Join the booster club.  She also mentioned that the booster club has raised a lot of money.  

                                                                                                                      

For the students.  She thanked everyone for their support.  Meeting was adjourned.

 

Everyone was instructed on how to exit and meet their children’s teachers.
